James Molina’s Pledge

Adhere to State and Federal Constitutions

The Constitution is the repository for correct principles and doctrines for the proper role of government. All proposed legislation should be scrutinized against the back-drop of the Constitution. When we stray from our Foundation, problems occur and reoccur… ever wonder why we keep hearing about the same problems just at different times?  Because we have gotten away from our Foundation and have allowed government into places it was never intended. State and Federal governments need to observe their proper role as founded in the Constitution.

Propose Smart Solutions for Arizona

As a life long Arizonan by choice I’m sure I’m a little bias, but Arizona is a wonderful state in so many ways and should be a leader in business, education, family values and opportunity. We need make no apologies for being a prosperous state, a beautiful state, a smart state and a principled state. Long range vision is required to have the necessary stability to move forward in these areas.

Fiscal Responsibility and Tax Relief

Truth is eternal and authors principles that, if correctly applied, result in happiness and success. Can any level of society- individual, family, community, state or country live in harmony if it doesn’t abide by certain principles, including financial principles? Of course not. Two financial principles that government needs to live by: Don’t spend ALL that is available and CERTAINLY don’t spend MORE than what is available. People need to be able to keep more of their hard earned dollars.  Wasteful spending must stop and all levels of government need to be held accountable.

Education

The “culture” of education in Arizona needs to improve. Have you noticed if mom or dad is well educated there is a good chance their children will be well educated? Of course, the reverse is true as well. The message of education needs to reverberate in the walls of our homes, a culture needs to be raised. School money needs to reach the class rooms for QUALITY teachers. Parents need to be more involved and have the opportunity to choose where their child is educated.

Business and Economy

The Arizona climate is a thing of beauty, even in July. Unfortunately, the business climate doesn’t match up as well. Small business is the heart and soul of the Arizona and American economy and needs fewer mandates and reduced taxes to thrive and provide jobs. Larger corporations should be lining up at our door to come here.  We have a favored climate, lots of room, and a fair cost of living, but taxes are some of the highest in the country for business. Arizona is use to a healthy construction industry, however its recent demise has caused tremendous struggle for the entire state. We hope for a return to normal in the construction industry, but we need to be busy ‘making our own luck’ and diversifying Arizona vocations for a healthy economy.
